Alexander JONES [Parents] was born in 1786 in , Orange, North Carolina. He died on 20 Oct 1844 in Ball, Sangamon, Illinois. Alexander married Susan WOOZLEY on 1 Nov 1807 in , Pulaski, Kentucky.

Alexander JONES, brother to Robert, William and Thomas. He was born in 1786 in Orange County, N.C. His parents moved, when he was a child, to Madison County, KY. And from there to Pulaski county, in the same state. Susan Woozley was born in 1788, in Halifax County, Va., and taken when young to Pulaski County, Ky. Alexander Jones and Susan Woozley were married in Pulaski county about 1808. They had one child in that county, and moved to Bedford county, Tenn., where one child was born, and then moved to that part of Barren which has since became Hart county, Kentucky, where three children were born. In 1821 they moved to Wayne county, Ill., where they had two children, and then moved to Sangamon county, arriving Oct. 9, 1827 in what is now Ball township, where one child was born. *1

Robert JONES [Parents] was born on 25 Sep 1790 in , Orange, North Carolina. He died on 16 May 1874 in Ball, Sangamon, Illinois. Robert married Tabitha LARD on 20 Jan 1818 in , Barren, Kentucky.

Robert was a brother of Alexander,William and Thomas. When he was a child his parents moved to Madison County, Kentucky and from there to Pulaski county, Kentucky. His father died there and all the family moved to Bedford county, Tennessee. He went from that county as a soldier in the 4th Tennessee Reg. during the war of 1812 and was in a battle against the Indians on the Talladega river, Alabama, in which Gen. Jackson was in immediate command. Robert Jones served three months and fourteen days. He went from Tennessee to Hart county, Kentucky where he was married about 1816 to Tabitha Lard, who was born June 18, 1795. She was a sister of John Lard. Mr. and Mrs Jones had one child in Kentucky, and moved to Wayne county, Illinois where four children were born; thence to Sangamon county, Ill. Arriving 13 May 1828 in what is now Ball township, where they had three children. Tabitha died 22 sep 1861 and Robert died 16 May 1874 iboth in Ball Township. He was in his eight-fourth year.

Tabitha LARD was born on 18 Jun 1795 in of Kentucky. She died on 22 Sep 1861 in Ball, Sangamon, Illinois. Tabitha married Robert JONES on 20 Jan 1818 in , Barren, Kentucky.

Tabitha’s brother and his family is listed on page 444 of the above book. Her brother John was born 12 feb 1792 near Charlseton, South Carolina and was taken by his parents to Kentucky, where his father died.
